A yacht birthday party in Abu Dhabi gives you something a restaurant or a hall cannot: a private deck, open sea views and the city skyline as the backdrop for the cake and the photos. The good news is that planning one is simple. This step-by-step guide covers choosing a yacht, picking the time, decoration, food, music and what every guest needs to bring.
Step 1: Fix Your Guest Count
Start with the guest list, because it decides which yachts you can book. Every yacht has a fixed guest limit for safety, and the crew cannot go above it. Count every adult and child who will be on board.
| Guests | Yachts to consider | From |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 8 | Onyx Lady | AED 450 / hour |
| Up to 16 | Black Sapphire (12), Silver Arrow 62 (14), Royal Pearl 68 (16) | AED 3,999 / hour |
| Up to 20 | Azure Star (18), Island Breeze 90 (20), Desert Rose (20) | AED 1,150 / hour |
| Up to 25 | Crown Jewel, Ocean Cat 75 | AED 1,398 / hour |
| Up to 30 | Golden Horizon | AED 1,999 / hour |
| Up to 35 | Grand Majesty | AED 1,499 / hour |
If you are not sure of the final number, choose a yacht with a little extra room. It is easier than trying to add guests later.
Step 2: Choose the Right Yacht for the Party
Different birthdays call for different yachts.
- Big celebrations with family and friends: the Grand Majesty (35 guests) or the Golden Horizon (30) give you space for everyone, and the Desert Rose (20) suits a slightly smaller party.
- Children’s and family birthdays: the Ocean Cat 75 has a wide, steady deck, a rooftop area and water toys – a water slide, a trampoline and a floating sea pool – set up on request.
- Milestone birthdays: the Royal Pearl 68 or the Silver Arrow 62 turn a 30th, 40th or 50th into a premium occasion.
- Small, intimate birthdays: the Onyx Lady takes up to 8 guests, from AED 450 per hour.
- Relaxed, longer parties: the Azure Star takes up to 18 guests at AED 1,150 per hour, with a 4-hour minimum – plenty of time for food, music and the sunset.

Step 3: Pick a Date and Time
Late afternoon is the most popular start time for birthday parties. You board in daylight, cut the cake at golden hour and cruise back with the skyline lit up. Daytime parties suit young children and families, while evening cruises are cooler during the summer months.
Weekends and holidays fill up quickly, so message us early with your preferred date and time.
Step 4: Decide How Long the Party Should Be
Most birthday parties on a yacht last 2 to 3 hours. Two hours is enough for a short cruise, the cake and photos. Three hours gives you time to eat, play music and relax without rushing. Because the price is per hour for the whole yacht, you can work out the total before you book: a 3-hour party on the Desert Rose is AED 4,500, for example.
Step 5: Plan the Decoration and Theme
Decoration turns a yacht into your party venue. Popular ideas include balloons in the guest of honour’s favourite colours, a “Happy Birthday” banner, flowers and a themed table for the cake. Decoration is arranged on request – send us your theme, colours and guest count on WhatsApp and we will share the options.
Step 6: Order the Cake and Food
Soft drinks and water are included on every charter. A birthday cake and food can be added on request. Let us know about dietary needs, the number of guests and any particular cake design when you book, so there is time to prepare.
Step 7: Prepare the Music
Every yacht has speakers and a sound system. Prepare a playlist in advance, with a special song ready for the cake moment. If it is a surprise party, plan a quiet start and a big musical moment when the guest of honour arrives.
Step 8: Share the Essentials with Your Guests
A few days before the party, send your guests a short message with the key details:
- Every guest must bring an original passport or Emirates ID – this is required to board.
- The meeting point and time, which we share with you on WhatsApp after booking.
- Sunglasses, sunscreen and a light layer for an evening cruise.
- Comfortable, soft-soled shoes for walking on deck.
